How do you identify a conveyor chain?
Typically, the roller chain type is indicated on the outer link plate, such as 50 for ANSI or 10B for BS size. The initial digits denote the chain pitch, varying by series. ANSI series chains are measured in eighths of an inch, with only the numerator of the fraction provided.
